Advocating for The Uganda Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Program (UG-LEDP)
The Need
In Uganda, many vulnerable communities find themselves without a clear path for development and transformation, primarily due to the absence of a well-defined and consistent notion of effective leadership. Within this void, however, lies a great opportunity: to empower and mobilize bright, motivated young individuals. But for change to happen, it’s crucial to provide youth with the necessary training and offer role models who can guide them in reshaping their perspective on tackling the longstanding economic and cultural challenges they face.
UG-LEDP bridges this gap by equipping young adults with life skills and Biblical principles to become servant-oriented leaders and entrepreneurs in their communities.
Imagine a world where enthusiastic young adults stand at the forefront of change, armed not just with knowledge, but with a profound sense of God-given purpose. This is the vision that propels the Uganda Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Program (UG-LEDP): shaping a new generation of leaders who fear God, love justice, and are committed to change.
My “Why”
Through UG-LEDP, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the remarkable transformation that transpires when potential is nurtured. The transformation I’ve seen in students is inspiring – their unwavering faith, boundless determination, and joyful spirit in the face of challenges. Their stories are living proof that investment in education and mentorship yields a legacy that transcends generations. Recognizing my own privileged circumstances, I am driven to invest my time, talent, and treasure into the UG-LEDP—a tangible investment in future leaders and God’s Kingdom work in Uganda.
Join Me in Empowering Uganda’s Future!
I invite you to join my campaign to support Greater Calling’s Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Program (UG-LEDP) in Uganda. By lending your time, talents, or resources to UG-LEDP, you’re not just investing in Uganda’s future leaders; you’re also uplifting communities and advancing God’s Kingdom!
Here are three practical ways you join me:
1. Pray
Join me in prayer for specific names of UG-LEDP students, teachers, and staff who are working to shape a better future for Uganda. If you email me, I’ll provide you with specific names and initiatives to include in your prayers.
Become a catalyst for change by contributing a recurring monthly gift of $25 or more to UG-LEDP. Your support will fuel the next cohort of UG-LEDP. Alternatively, you can make a one-time gift of any amount. In exchange, you’ll receive regular updates on the progress of the Uganda Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Program and opportunities to actively participate and engage. Let’s do this together.
3. Learn More
Dive deeper into the UG-LEDP. Whether it’s having a conversation with myself, or even going to Uganda to witness the impact firsthand, I urge you to take the step to learn more. By understanding the program’s significance and witnessing its outcomes, you can play an even more informed and influential role!

Greater Calling is a DBA of Children’s HopeChest. Children’s HopeChest starts community transformation by caring for impoverished and vulnerable children through community-to-community partnerships which establish CarePoints to initially deliver care to children and then springboard into Community Development efforts. But not all Community Development efforts can be funded through our standard child friendship model, and as the children age, their needs change. That’s where Greater Calling (a DBA of Children’s HopeChest) steps in to meet development opportunities with a variety of special focus programs. Programs like Emotional Health and Wellness, Business and Vocational Training and Funding, and Youth Leadership Development.
For example, Greater Calling’s Leadership Development Programs offer young adults (ages 15-30) the opportunity to grow physically, spiritually, and emotionally while their home communities also experience positive transformation. These programs seek to equip youth as emerging leaders with biblical principles, life skills and entrepreneurial resources that promote sustainable community transformation, stewardship, and active community leadership. The programs are designed and facilitated by in-country indigenous staff to serve and train young people and community leaders from across areas where HopeChest and Greater Calling work.
