The Ambassador Program

What does it mean to be an Ambassador?

Greater Calling’s Ambassador Program is designed for individuals who are passionate about our mission and want to make a meaningful impact in the world. As an Ambassador, you’ll be equipped with the tools and resources you need to share our message with others and engage them in our work. You’ll have access to exclusive training and support, regular communication updates, and fundraising tips to help you succeed.

The Ambassador Program is not based on a singular project reaching a specific fundraising goal. You can be an Ambassador as long as you want and over the course of time, you may choose to support a variety of different programs and fund-raising opportunities. As an Ambassador, you’ll be part of a community of like-minded individuals who are committed to transforming the lives of vulnerable children and their communities, and you can stay involved for as long as you wish.

Frequently Asked Question's

Q: Is there a time commitment once I sign up to start a fundraiser or become and ambassador?

A: This program is designed to make it easy for you to share your passion with others in a way that feels natural and authentic to you. We don’t have any requirements for how much you need to do – this program is meant to be a tool that you can use to spread the word about the mission and engage others in the work. As long as you want to stay involved and have something to point people to, we’re here to help you make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and their communities!

Q: What kind of projects can I support as an ambassador?

A: As a Greater Calling ambassador, there are several types of existing projects you can support. The broadest option is the general fund, which supports the organization’s mission worldwide. Alternatively, you can choose to support a specific country-wide project or initiative that aligns with your interests. Another option is to support an existing project at a CarePoint, such as a bathroom or other facility, which may have specific funding needs.

Q: What kind of resources do I get when I become an ambassador?

A: As a Greater Calling ambassador, you’ll receive a custom webpage that tells your story, outlines what you’re supporting, and displays your fundraising goals. You’ll also receive suggested email and social media post text that you can copy/paste and customize to promote your page. Additionally, you’ll have access to a range of photos in different dimensions to help you promote your campaign effectively. Finally, you’ll receive regular reports on page visits, total amount donated through your ambassador efforts, and other metrics to help you track your impact and progress. With these resources, you can effectively engage your network and make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children and their communities.

Q: What’s a good way to share my ambassadorship?

A: As an Ambassador, you have the power to share our message with others and inspire them to get involved. Here are four additional creative ideas for sharing Greater Calling:

  1. Host a dinner party: Host a dinner party and invite your friends, family, and colleagues to share your passion. During the dinner, you can share your personal story and experiences that led to your passion for the project, and provide information about how they can get involved and make a difference. You could also invite members of your network out to coffee or a meal to for a more intimate, personal discussion.
  2. Send a text/email out to your community: Share your personal story and experiences that led to your passion for the project and provide information on how they can get involved and make a difference. By leveraging technology and your personal network, you can make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and their communities.
  3. Partner with a local restaurant or coffee shop: Partner with a local coffee shop to promote the project you’re advocating for. You can work with the coffee shop to create a special drink or menu item that will be available for a limited time, with a portion of the proceeds donated to Greater Calling. You can also set up a table at the coffee shop and share information about Greater Calling with customers.
  4. Create a social media campaign: Create a social media campaign to raise awareness. You can share inspiring stories and photos of the children and communities you have encountered through Greater Calling, and share the link to your ambassador webpage.
  5. Organize a challenge: Organize a challenge, such as a charity run or walk, to raise money and awareness for your project. You can set a fundraising goal and encourage participants to fundraise through social media and other channels. You can also provide incentives and prizes for top fundraisers and participants.
